SUN DONG TO VISIT BEIJING

Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong will depart for a visit to Beijing tomorrow to strengthen ties with relevant authorities and organisations.

Prof Sun will visit the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Association for Science & Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the State Council's Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office. He will also inspect local tech companies.

Acting Government Chief Information Officer Tony Wong will join part of the visit.

Prof Sun will return to Hong Kong on January 19. Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Lillian Cheong will be Acting Secretary during his absence.
